Welcome to my literary blog. I am grateful that you have taken the time to explore my stories. Writing has been my passion since I was a child, and I have written in various genres and mediums. My bardic journey began with a young author’s conference at age 10 and again at 11, then a paid freelance journalism gig at the age of 12, and I have since covered a range of topics, including sports, history, science, hiking and backpacking equipment, politics, religion, and government policy. I have also explored poetry, short stories, flash fiction, and novels, primarily focusing on dark humor, science fiction, speculative fiction, dark fantasy, and slipstream fiction.
On Upending Wordism, you will discover mostly flash fiction. However, I occasionally share other types of writing based on your requests or my creative impulses. The Campfire is where most of my stories are read, as it is where humanity has shared its stories for centuries. My popular flash fiction series, The Refugees and The Inspector, are based on daily prompts and have their own sections in the menu at the top of the page. You can easily navigate and find anything else you are looking for on this blog using the menus or the search bar provided.
